What makes it special

Because it’s freestanding, there’s no framed wall to build and no finish work to pay for—minimal construction disruption is the whole point of the line. The unit arrives as a finished piece, glass and heat barrier in place, and goes where a built-in can’t. The fire is usually the construction project; this one isn’t.

Ortal’s passive cool wall design keeps the surface above the fire cool enough that a TV or artwork can hang right above it—the spot most fireplaces put off limits stays usable.
